PalletMath gives you a number. You decide what to do with it. This page says what that number is, what it isn't, and what each of us is on the hook for.
By creating an account or using PalletMath you agree to these terms. If you are using it for a company, you are confirming you can agree on that company's behalf. If you do not agree, don't use the service — that is the whole of it.
PalletMath is operated by PalletMath D&D LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that company; "you" means you or the business you represent.
You give it a pallet manifest. It estimates what the contents are likely to recover, models a worst realistic case, and produces a maximum bid at which even a bad outcome should not lose money. That is the entire product.
Every number PalletMath produces is an estimate, and you are the one bidding.
It is built from sources that are each incomplete on their own. Manifests overstate retail and misdescribe condition. Price lookups miss items entirely — on real manifests, most lines carry no product code at all. Where nothing can be looked up, the estimate falls back on published rules of thumb, which are averages and not observations of your pallet. The tool labels which is which, and you should read those labels.
So: this is decision support, not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. We are not licensed advisors and nothing here is a recommendation to buy any particular lot. A high score is not a promise, a max bid is not a valuation, and no output is a guarantee of profit. The decision to bid, and the money at risk, are yours alone.
PalletMath is in beta and currently free. That cuts both ways and we would rather be blunt about it: features may change or disappear, the scoring model will keep changing as it learns from real results, there is no guaranteed uptime, and we may end the beta or introduce pricing. We will give account holders notice before charging anyone anything.
Because the model changes, the same manifest can score differently over time. That is the model improving, not a defect. Keep your own record of any score you acted on.
Your manifests, costs, purchases and sales remain yours. We do not claim ownership of them. You grant us the permission needed to run the service — to store that data, compute on it, and show it back to you.
You also grant us permission to include it in anonymized aggregates: median recovery figures by category and condition, computed across many sellers, used to improve everyone's estimates. An aggregate is published only when it draws on at least twenty sales from at least three different sellers. We never publish, sell, or show another user your individual prices, items, lots or bids. The privacy policy sets this out in full and is part of these terms.
Only upload data you are entitled to upload. Manifests from a marketplace may be subject to that marketplace's own terms, and those are between you and them.
Don't do these things:
You can optionally connect an eBay account so PalletMath can read your completed orders. That connection is read-only, it is yours to revoke at any time from your eBay settings, and your use of eBay remains governed by eBay's terms rather than these. We also use third-party data providers to look up prices. We are not responsible for those services being available, accurate, or unchanged, and an outage at one of them may degrade what PalletMath can tell you — it will say so rather than quietly guess.
PalletMath is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with B-Stock, Liquidation.com, 888 Lots, eBay, Amazon, or any other marketplace or liquidator. Their names appear only to describe where a pallet came from.
PalletMath is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty as to accuracy, completeness, or results. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its estimates will match what a pallet actually recovers.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost bids, lost business, loss of data, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including money lost on a pallet you bought or a pallet you passed on.
Our total liability for any claim relating to PalletMath is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred US dollars. During the free beta, that means one hundred dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
If your use of PalletMath, your data, or your breach of these terms causes a third-party claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of defending it. We will tell you promptly if that happens and will not settle anything on your behalf without asking you.
You can stop and delete your account at any time — email hello@palletmath.com. We can suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or shut the service down, and we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your data unless the breach makes that unwise. The sections on data, warranties, liability and governing law survive the account ending.
We may update these terms. The effective date above changes when we do, and we will email account holders before a material change takes effect rather than altering them quietly. Continuing to use PalletMath after that is how you accept the new version.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts sitting in Pennsylvania, and we both agree to that venue. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about PalletMath.
Questions about any of this: hello@palletmath.com. A real person reads it.
